NEEDITY
AMVISA (Aguas Municipales de Vitoria-Gasteiz S.A.) required software for the comprehensive supervision of the sanitation network, which should include a thorough record of historical data, as well as the ability to send alarms in critical situations.
SOLUTION
In response to this need, we have implemented our software called Hipalux Datum in AMVISA. This solution allows for complete monitoring of the sanitation network in the City of Vitoria.
By using this web environment application, AMVISA receives immediate notifications in the form of alarms when water levels exceed the established thresholds. The platform supports unlimited users and variables.
IMPROVEMENT
As a result of this implementation, the customer now has a real-time visualization of the city’s archeons and underground rivers, as well as access to their historical records. This functionality allows you to perform detailed analysis of past events, such as storms, and better understand the dynamics that occur on the network.
TECHNOLOGY
To carry out network monitoring, we have used Sofrel’s data loggers IIoT, which are perfectly integrated with our solution.
Sanitation networks: The importance of its oversight for efficient management
Sanitation networks play a crucial role in our cities in ensuring the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater. However, for these networks to function efficiently, it is essential to have an adequate monitoring system. In this article, we will explore the importance of monitoring sanitation networks and how this practice is key to ensuring their proper functioning and preventing potential problems. We will learn how efficient management and advanced technology can help optimize the operation of these networks and improve the quality of life in our communities.
The importance of monitoring sanitation networks:
Monitoring sanitation networks allows operators to monitor the state and flow of wastewater on the network in real time. This is essential to detect any obstruction, breakdown or overflow that may affect the operation of the system. In addition, continuous monitoring allows for the identification of possible leakage and reduction of water losses, which contributes to the conservation of this valuable resource. By having immediate knowledge of any anomalies, operators can take swift action to solve problems and minimize negative impacts on infrastructure and the environment.
Technology in the service of monitoring sanitation networks:
Today, there are advanced technological solutions that facilitate the monitoring of sanitation networks. One of them is the use of sensors and telemetry systems that allow real-time data to be collected on water levels, pressure and flow at different points of the network. These data are transmitted to a centralized platform that analyzes them and generates automatic alerts in case certain thresholds are exceeded. This technology gives operators a complete and up-to-date view of the system, allowing them to make informed decisions and anticipate potential problems.
Benefits of adequate monitoring of sanitation networks:
Adequate monitoring of sanitation networks brings multiple benefits. First, operational efficiency is improved by reducing emergency response times and optimizing preventive maintenance. In addition, continuous monitoring allows identifying problem areas and proactive corrective action, avoiding costly damage and repairs. Finally, efficient management of sanitation networks helps to preserve water quality, protect the environment and ensure public health.
***
Monitoring of sanitation networks is essential to ensure their proper functioning and to prevent problems that may affect both infrastructure and the environment. The combination of efficient management and the use of advanced monitoring technology allow operators to maintain complete control over the network, quickly identify possible anomalies and take appropriate action. By prioritizing proper oversight of sanitation networks, we can ensure a safe water supply, durable infrastructure and a healthy environment for our communities. The implementation of technological solutions, such as sensors and telemetry systems, provides operators with the ability to monitor the state of sanitation networks in real time, detect potential problems and take corrective action in a timely manner.
In addition, adequate monitoring of sanitation networks helps to optimize resources and minimize operational costs. By identifying leaks and reducing water losses, more efficient use of this valuable resource is promoted, resulting in economic savings and environmental benefits. In addition, by preventing overflows and obstructions, damage to infrastructure is avoided and the need for costly repairs is reduced.
In short, monitoring of sanitation networks is essential to ensure their proper functioning, prevent problems and promote efficient resource management. By using advanced technology and proper monitoring practices, operators can maintain comprehensive control over these networks, make informed decisions and provide quality services to the community. Investment in the monitoring of sanitation networks is essential to ensure reliable water supply, preserve the environment and improve the quality of life of all citizens.
